Once again, school will be open for the children of critical keyworkers only. Local staff can provide basic cover but we need to be mindful of further snow forecast and our ability to keep everyone safe.
In previous years we could merge classes to allow staff to arrive safely.
This can't be done under present COVID-19 arrangements as all bubbles remain contained.
Whilst we appreciate this is frustrating for all concerned, the health and safety and supervision of all involved, and the anticipation of further disruption, must be taken into account.
This is not a normal year, a normal snow day or usual circumstances.
We have a responsibility to continue remote learning as well as provide care for the children of our critical keyworkers. This is the only way we can ensure this is not disrupted.
As stated previously, a reliable contact number for someone in your bubble must be left in the event of an early closure.
Take care, stay safe and thank you to all of our staff whether you're already hiking in or setting up your remote classroom elsewhere!
